What you’ll be doing:
- Processing client orders and receipts
- Order confirmations
- Carrier communications
- Handling general account records
- Import/Export documentation
- Provide departmental support functions for clients as assigned.
- Utilize the facility Warehouse Information Systems to perform tasks related to client accounts
- Utilize and accurately complete daily reports and worksheets as required by both clients and management
- Assist in accurately tracking client activities.
- Assist other departments, including Operations, in the processing of client requests and communicate changes to schedules or client needs in a timely manner.
- Effectively communicate with team members, management, and clients.
- Act as liaison between the operations and the customer and promptly report client feedback to management, including any signs of dissatisfaction.
- Provide clients with timely and effective solutions.
- Assist with driver check-in, driver door assignments, and driver document processing.
- Set pickup and delivery appointments with warehouses and clients.
- Monitor open orders to ensure scheduled ship dates are being met.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required, normally acquired through a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Proficient knowledge of computer programs/software, such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Warehouse Management Systems.
- Proficient knowledge of shipping and receiving processes, procedures, and technology, ideally acquired through a minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a similar role.
- Must be able to follow directions with emphasis being placed on safety while performing tasks.
- Must be able to shift priorities and multitask as required.
- Available to work any shift as requested, which may include OT, nights, and weekends.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work under minimal supervision.
- Must demonstrate excellent communication skills (email, phone, etc).
- Must possess organizational skills with an attention to detail.
- Must have a track record of providing exceptional customer service.
- Must have responsible work habits and pass pre-employment tests, including background and drug tests.
- Must be able to work in non-climate controlled warehouse
- Must be able to work at a computer for up to 8 hours a day
- Must be able to lift at least 20lbs
- Starting wage of $16-$18/hour, depending on experience
- Regular shift pattern Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
